Booking

At the time of booking, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment date and time.

Your session deposit can be made in the form of Cash, Cash App, Zelle, or Apple Pay.

Appointments made without deposit may not be honored and are subject to cancellation.

Payment of the deposit is required at the time of booking and has a 24-hour grace period.

Deposits that are not paid within 24 hours of setting an appointment may not be honored and subjects the appointment to cancellation.

Payment of the deposit acts as an agreement to all of the James Rios Studios policies.

Collaborations/Creative Endeavors booked with no monetary gain give Stretchlifevisuals ALL rights to photos taken and can be used however/whenever he see’s fit.

Payment

Sessions must be paid in full prior to shoot date or immediately after the shoot via Cash, Cash App, Zelle, or Apple Pay.

Checks are not accepted.

An additional $20 surcharge will be added on all sessions where client is beyond 15 minutes late.

Session end times will not be extended to accommodate client lateness.

Cancellation

If you are unable to make your photo session all deposits will act as a cancellation fee.

72 hours of advance notice of cancellation is required in order to credit the deposit towards a future session or a half refund.

If not notified within 24 hours of the session the half deposit rule is cleared and there will be no refund BUT the client can reschedule for FREE on a day that fits the photographers schedule within 3 months.

The photographer reserves the right to deny service to any client(s) who repeatedly have a history of cancellations.

If James Rios Studios cannot perform this contract due to fire or other casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to illness or emergency, then the Videographer/Photographer shall return the retainer fee to the client, but shall have no further liability with respect to the contract.

This shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or other media malfunction, lost in mail or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the Photographer.

In the event James Rios Studios fails for any other reason, James Rios Studios shall not be liable for any amount in excess of all monies paid.

F.A.q.

What's the Turnaround time?

Proofs are returned to clients within 1-5 days after the shoot, though during graduation season, it may take 5-10 days. Edited images are typically delivered within 5-14 business days from the time the client selects them, unless rush edits are requested.

Additional edits and video work are handled after the initial photo package is delivered. Video projects can take up to 30 days but are usually completed within 10-20 business days.

Creative shoots have a flexible timeline. They generally have a turnaround of 1-2 months if offered for free.

What does edited mean?

While the photos look stunning right out of the camera, I enhance them further with color correction, blemish removal, stray hair adjustments, and sky replacement if necessary. Please note that body modifications are not included in the standard edits but can be added as part of the premium edit package. For the best results, please ensure you wear your correct size.

Do you travel?

Yes, I do travel for projects!

Please let me know your location and the details of your project, and I can provide you with information on travel arrangements and any additional costs that may apply.

Guests

I recommend having 2-4 people for outdoor shoots, as larger groups can distract from the main focus and may result in fewer shots. However, it’s entirely up to you—feel free to bring the whole family if you’d like!

For indoor studio sessions, please limit the number of guests to 2-5 if they are not part of the shoot.

Makeup artists and hairstylists are welcome on set. Please note that the photographer is not responsible for providing additional props or accessories before or during the session. Proper preparation is the client’s responsibility.
